On October 14, 2015 Elite Art Gallery ( Academy street number 15, sector 1, Bucharest) will officially open the new exhibition of Ilie Boca – “Palimpsestes” – celebrated by a concert of cello and violin of the group Duo ViolinCello, starting time 18:30. The exhibition will be open to the large public from October 6 until October 29, 2015, every day from Monday to Friday between the hours 11:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturdays between 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A participant to the creation camp “Painters of Today in Balchik” Ilie Boca is always searching to present the public with new and diverse works, an effort that rewarded him with a well-deserved notoriety. Continuing to experiment and to surprise, he now has prepared for the public fascinating canvases.
Tireless painter Ilie Boca is one of those artists who succeeded in significantly mark the route of Romania’s contemporary art. Always juggling between figurative and abstract painting, Ilie Boca proved both an outstanding representative of the landscape around and a fine interpreter of the unseen things, catching the imperceptible parallel immediate reality, transposing it on canvas. This also happens in Palimpsestes series. Without being epic, without being – in any way – profoundly descriptive or iconic, Ilie Boca manages to balance accessibility and cryptic so that his paintings are an invitation to contemplation and not a barrier.
This month come be a part of an exhibition representative for the Romanian contemporary art and enjoy the beauty of the paintings gathered under the name of”Palimpsestes”.
