We all like to travel. And we all had some less pleasant events happening while out in vacation. The survey conducted by ECC Romania during Romania’s Tourism Fair (24 to 27 February 2016) show us exactly how many travelers encountered difficulties in 2015: 72% of the people traveling in the EU had problems during their travels, 5 % less than last year. In general the problems were related to the delay or cancellation of the flights, but also encountered problems with the hotels and accommodation in the B & Bs. Out of the 72% more than 29% never addressed a specialized consumer protection center while 81% of the participants in the survey think that ECC Romania is a good initiative.
The survey conducted by ECC Romania also shows that 58% of Romanian travelers go in vacation with their family, while 9% prefer to travel alone.
Regarding the budget allocated for a holyday – 34% prefer to spend a holiday in Romania that will cost them less than 300 euros while 44% of Romanians are going to spend the summer 2016 vacation abroad.
The European Consumer Centre in Romania – ECC Romania participated as an exhibitor at the Romanian Tourism Fair – the Spring Edition, sharing with the large public more than 1000 booklets on various topics related to consumers’ rights when travelling for holiday in Europe
