In the modern society to be a vegetarian is a choice that will prove a little complicated to put into practice. Basically, it’s easy to become vegetarian. To feed properly, find and have at hand all the food needed to stay hydrated and healthy, well, here is where it’s becoming… a demanding situation. This Saturday (March 21, 2015) Simplify Media joined the Vegans for a better world and their partners – Doppelherz-aktiv, for an event where nutritionists, vegetarians and vegans discussed how to put into practice the motto “Learn to be healthy, so you can help others.”

An audience of over 80 people joined us for about 2 hours, in an open discussion about the main challenges regarding food choices, the necessary nutrients for vegans and vegetarians as well as the proper solutions to these problems.

Properly prepared the vegan diets are healthy for you. Incomplete lunches or the absence of certain foods can deprive the body of essential vitamins and minerals, leaving you with a low level of calcium, iodine, vitamin B12 and vitamin D. And here is where the supplements come in to save the day. So it is crucial to stay informed so you can stay healthy.

“If you heard before about vegetarians, than you need to know that most people do not understand the differences between veganism and vegetarianism. Vegetarianism is strictly limited to food, while Veganism is a lifestyle that seeks to exclude the use of animals for food, clothing or any other purpose. Because we love animals we decided not to exploit them, hence the name of the campaign: #IamVeg,I care” declared the representatives  of ” Vegans for a better world ” ( Vegani pentru o lume mai buna).

The event also marked the inauguration of the photo exhibition #suntVegimipasa Campaign, a movement very well received by Romanian and foreign public with a reach over 6,000 persons. The exhibition highlights the existence of a growing community of vegans and vegetarians in Romania and it remains in display this week at The Coffee Factory in Bucharest.

Intrigued by the topic?  Then I invite you to visit the blog “Vegans for a better world” and you’ll have access to information about vegans, vegetarians and a lifestyle that keeps you healthy every day
