You wonder what is this all about? Well, the first of Romania’s living museums opens this summer in a remote village in the Apuseni Mountains, whose number of inhabitants rises to … 14!

Tecseşti village in Alba County has been transformed into a living museum being the result of an independent project started by the Groove On Association. Simply put, once in the village, you will have the opportunity to live in a space that reconstructs the history of the province, from its origins to the present, surrounded by legends of Dacia’s people, ethnography, anthropology and folklore. These days the museum is 30% functional and it is expected to be fully operational by the beginning of summer.

In order for the project to be carried out the team still needs 6,000 euros and if you want to help than you can access the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform where there is the possibility to donated amounts ranging from 15 euros to 1,000 euros. In exchange you’ll receive access to workshops and events held at Tecsesti or you will have the opportunity to live in the Living Museum for a while 🙂 . So this summer allow yourself to live like in the old times, learning the culture and customs of the traditional Romanian villages.  For more details please see here the official video.
