London Eye for children

Forget Disneyland, come to the London Eye. It is one amazing adventure that kids will simply love. In main touristic attraction, especially in the ones where crowds reach an impressive number, you think twice before bringing your children. Or, at least, this is what I thought when looking at London Eye. Instead I discovered one of the coolest places to bring your family when visiting London.

???????????????????????????????First and foremost let me just say that the place is well organized and despite being packed with people. So if you want to skip spending to much time in a queue, just go purchase the Fast Track ticket. This way you save up to 30 min. So everything goes smoother and the little ones won’t get restless.

Also, do not worry if your hands are full. The cabins can be accessed even if you have the baby in the wail chair. It is plenty of space to move around. Just pay attention to the security check and prepare your bags; they will look inside backpacks and purses for items that can be a danger for others.

Fun is on the menu

As impressive as it is the structure is secure and steady. Do not concern yourself with the safety of the children inside the wheel, even if they are toddlers. The wheel spins slowly, you won’t even feel it. On the other hand, focus yourself on the panorama that opens before your eyes. The city welcomes you with stunning vistas, ones that will hypnotize the children. As you can see in the pictures below, the place definitely keeps you focused.

You will also notice the info tablets attached to the sidebars. They give you information about the buildings you see around and are interactive so can be also used by kids.

The full spin last for about 30 minutes which pass really quickly. Or at least it feels like that as the thought crosses your mind – wait, stop! Let’s spin again!

You will for sure notice the red painted footprints on the floor by the windows. With 5 minutes before the cabin reaches ground just step inside the footprint and say – Cheese! An outside camera will take a picture of you.

All photos can be bought at the exit, 17 pounds each (a little pricy but then again, you cannot put a price on a memory :). The kids will have quite a time inside the souvenir shop so keep an eye for an extra budget just for this. Instead if you want to keep it simple, stop by the Pennymangle machine. Put 2 ponds in it and the coin will come imprinted with the London Eye. Easy and quick.

???????????????????????????????Now, if you plan a trip here this week, expect some bats to join you for the ride. At least a witch :). London Eye has prepared tones of Halloween surprises for kids. Just look here and see their full site.

And if you think is over just hold on a moment. I saved one good part for the end. The 4D 3 minutes film on the London Eye. It’s the icing on the cake.???????????????????????????????

If I liked London Eye? Definitely. Is it a place to enjoy with your kids? Sure. Is there a best time for visiting? Anytime. It just depends if you want to see the city by day or enjoy the magic lights by night. Maybe just keep the evenings for the two of you and bring the kids in the morning.

So there it was. The best hour I could have ever spent out discovering the city in a Wednesday. From sunny weather to heavy clouds, I was in for quite a ride.
