As the year starts, our holidays end. It’s time to get back to work and out in the city. This time we start by attending the theater and one amazing play – The Vagabond soul, a show which opens ARCUB (the Cultural Center of Bucharest) theatrical year. Successfully combining theater with music this performance is full of colors and emotions and will be held on 23 and 24 January 2016 from 20:00 at Gabroveni site (Lipscani street, no 84-90, Bucharest City Center).
Vagabond soul is a monologue between two people, inspired by true stories. Stories collected in bottles thrown by artists – world-travelers and other anonymous souls. The idea of the show was born in foreign lands, in Algiers (at European Cultural Festival), when two friends met and decided to start “a soul project.”
The unfinished tales about the life of those who are always on the road was imagined by two wanderers and enriched by their experience abroad: actress Simona Măicănescu and composer Alex Simu, who’s music has been played in 32 countries onto five continents. The project team also includes: Elena Butică – assistant director and designer, Dan Basu – a visual artist known in the Romanian underground society for its multimedia projections and painter Anka Moldovan, whose paintings compose the visual entertainment of the show.
The tickets can be purchased online at http://arcub.ro/bilete-online/ and through EVENTIM ticketing network. Prices: 43,20 lei (I Category) and 27 lei (II Category).
