Let us not pretend we are surprised by this statement. For years we browsed the internet in search of the latest news and articles from the bloggers. It will have been a surprised if the result was the other way around. But is not. And the study conducted by the company iSense Solutions shows us the exact percentage of those who are dependent on the information collected online. Thus, more than 58% of Romanian Internet users (+ 16 years old) read blogs, saying that blogs help them to better be informed and also influence their opinion about products and social phenomena.
On top of the list for the favorites we find as most popular blogs the mainstream ones (16%), followed by culinary and food related blogs (11%) , fashion / lifestyle & beauty blogs (10%).
“Our study confirms the expectations. Women are more interested in culinary, fashion / lifestyle & beauty blogs (17%) in a greater proportion than men (5% and respectively 2%), while journalists and IT blogs are accessed more by men (13% and 8% compared to 6% and 2% in women). Furthermore the teenagers age between 16 and 24 prefer blogs about fashion, lifestyle and beauty (29%) while political blogs are pursued especially by people over 45 years old (10%) and the retired / elderly persons (14%) “explains Traian Nastase, Managing Partner iSense. Solutions. The study also shows that women are first in recognizing(46% vs. 35% of men) when a blogger tries to promote a product or a brand.
The study was conducted online on a sample of 1,014 respondents, members of the Panel ResearchRomania.ro. The results have a degree of error of +/- 3% at a confidence level of 95%.
