During the past few years there have been very few thermal resorts throughout the country that have received funds for modernization and development of the mineral springs or the tourist services areas. However, few of them have successfully resisted, in part due to the well-known thermal and curative properties of the mineral waters and partly because of private investments.
Furthermore, in occasion of the 11th Edition of the Health and Thermal Tourism Forum held at Sovata, ANAT and OPTBR (Trade Union for the Romanian Thermal Tourism) announced that in 2015 the turnover from the thermal and spa sector in Romania will rise to 350 of millions euros, the number of tourists increasing by 30% in 2015 compared to the same period last year.
With over 150 representatives of spa hotels and treatment bases in Romania attending the event, I ceased the moment and tried to evaluate the offers that a tourist can enjoy for this season.

Let us be aware of the enormous wealth that Romania has owning these spa resources, which include mineral waters, thermal waters, mud, mofettes and peats. All these resources used and prioritized may contribute to a very large extent to public health, keeping us healthy every day. ”
